Wren is now open in Canton, Ohio

Wren is now open for its first members, starting in Canton, Ohio.
Wren is a dating app built around one idea we kept coming back to while building it: trust first. That's not a slogan we put on the homepage and left there — it shapes how the product actually works.
Before anyone can message you, Wren confirms they're a real person. Almost always that's a government photo-ID check through Stripe Identity. Occasionally someone genuinely can't complete one — a document that won't scan, a disability, a phone that can't manage it — and a person on our team confirms them instead. You can always tell which: their badge reads “Approved by Wren” rather than “ID checked,” on purpose, so the two are never shown alike.
We'd rather tell you what that check doesn't do than let you assume it does more than it does. Wren doesn't check that a member's display name matches the name on their document — a name that differs is usually a married name, a name someone has always gone by, or an anglicized one. What the check establishes is that a real person presented a real document. You can report or block anyone, and we review reports personally.
We're a small dedicated team — Wren is built and run by IT Lasso, LLC, a HUBZone-certified company here in Canton — and every message to support is read by someone on that team. Not a bot, not a script.
Founding members: join by September 30 and membership is free for life. No catch, ever. From October 1, joining is still free. Messaging is part of Premium: $19.99/month, or $14.99/month billed $89.94 every six months. Cancel within your first 14 days and we refund your first payment in full.
We're starting in one city on purpose. Canton first, and we'll open more cities as we're ready to do right by them — not before.
